Here at Flint Ridge, we strive for a high quality of life for all our patients. Our ventilator program exists to help people with varying levels of support needs and remains one of the most comprehensive services at Flint Ridge.
Our Pulmonary and Ventilator Unit is a crucial component of our modern healthcare facility, specializing in the comprehensive care and treatment of patients suffering from a wide range of respiratory and pulmonary disorders. One notable feature of these newly remodeled units is the provision of private rooms. These individualized spaces are designed to offer a controlled environment where patients can receive the intensive care and monitoring they require while ensuring their privacy and comfort.
Each room is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including specialized beds and monitoring equipment that continuously assesses vital signs and oxygen levels. This continuous monitoring enables our medical staff to promptly respond to any changes in the patient’s condition, providing timely interventions when necessary. This advanced equipment, along with our techniques, provides our patients with the absolute best rehabilitative services in the Columbus area.
Our program is designed to incorporate many types of patients. Here are just a few conditions we treat:
Our care team is always available for any needs that may arise for patients or their families.
Lung disease can be difficult to manage, but our respiratory services are designed to handle it with ease. The program is specially designed for residents with a variety of diagnoses that often include similar, quality care, including but not limited to:
Some of our patients may need additional ventilator assistance and will not be able to return home immediately. Instead, we bring it home to them in the form of our specialized ventilator unit. Long-term patients’ families are welcome here, as we provide quality clinical care and education 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our goal is to always serve YOU!
At Flint Ridge, our goal is to get our patients on their feet, and with the help of our expertly skilled team…HOME.
Many patients who come to our facility transition home and live a fun, active and full life. Whether those going home are ventilator-dependent or not, we seek to educate patients and families to provide them with valuable tools that will make the transition easier. We will also help coordinate any necessary home-care arrangements, necessary equipment, and visiting staff (such as speech and occupational therapists).
